Project 52 {Week 13} | Shadows

Posted on April 8, 2011

Have you been following along on my Project 52?  I have joined in with several other photographers from The Bloom Forum for a weekly photo project.  Our theme this week is shadows. I was in Las Vegas this week, so I don’t have a super fun shot of my kids this time.  I did get enough of a break in the traffic to snap a shot of the palm tree shadow.  I think it’s cool to see the palm trees in the middle of the concrete jungle, in the middle of the desert, kind of like a little oasis!

Next up in the rounds is Amy Mae Bowen, Nampa, Idaho Photographer.  And when you’ve completed our circle, hop on over to Everything Bloom, the blog.

52 Project {Week 5} | Food

Posted on February 11, 2011

If you’ve missed what’s been going on around here on Fridays, I’ve been doing a 52 week project along with several other fabulous ladies from The Bloom Forum.  You can read the original post here.  We all will post our interpretation of the weekly theme.  Follow the links through the blogs until you end up back here.  And don’t forget to leave some blog love along the way :) .

This week our theme is Food.  This theme is not a hard one but, as usual, I made it difficult!  I’ve taken food photos before but I wanted something different.  So I struggled because I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do.  What I really regretted was not taking my camera when I went to the carnival at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo!  Fried Oreos, fried bacon, sausage on a stick wrapped with tornado potatoes, cotton candy, fried butter (just kidding)!  The fried uniqueness abounds! ;)  Oh, and as I’m typing this I’m watching a show about Chicken Charlie.  He made fried zucchini weenies!  Imagine that.  Anyway, yesterday my dear friend Becky (who remains blog-less) came to visit.  She brought some of her beautiful, fresh eggs!  I love fresh eggs.  And yes, I have photographed them before, but I just couldn’t help myself.  Their color is so beautiful.  Don’t you just want to decorate your kitchen with these colors?

Now travel along to see Jobrina Hofleit – Arizona Family Photographer and her interpretation of Food.  Her work is so beautiful you won’t want to miss it!  Don’t forget to follow all the blog links all the way around the circle.  When you’re done come join the fun over at The Bloom Forum!  You’ll be glad you did! :)

My friends – San Antonio Family Photographer

Posted on January 12, 2011

I really haven’t shared anything but personal images yet.  So tonight I’m going to share a few images I did right before Christmas of the children of my sweet friend Kimberly!  These kids are such a joy, and beautiful too.  And they are all at such different ages and stages.  One is “too cool for school” and one warmed up to the camera quite nicely.  The other is pure show off! :)  I’m sure you can guess which one is which ;)  Oh and Kim has a wonderful little baking business of her own!  If you want any delicious goodies or are having a party, give her a call!  Find her here.

Miss Kim has had some difficulty from post surgery issues lately.  Please keep her in your prayers.  I know she can feel the love will really appreciate it.  Thanks friends!

The 27th Day of December

Posted on December 27, 2010

What a laid back day we’ve had!  We started the day just taking it easy, then we got out our new Lego Creationary game!  I like to do Legos when I have instructions and pictures to look at.  But to just look at a picture and come up with your own version is a bit more difficult ;)  Then this afternoon Brody broke out his new Easy Bake oven!  He had a great time mixing and baking his own creations.  But he really loved licking the bowl ;)

Do you have any new things you’ve been having fun with?

He’s not like me at all! :P
