Project 52 | Week 50 | Memories

Posted on December 23, 2011

Christmas is one of the best times to create memories.  One of our favorite activities to do is to decorate gingerbread houses.  My boys LOVE it.  Of course, they really like to eat the candy ;)  I’m hoping that these are memories they will cherish forever.

Next up in our circle is the amazingly talented Liza Hall.  Make sure you follow all the photographers’ links to check out all the interpretations for the week.  And then hop on over to Everything Bloom to see what the other groups are doing.  HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

52 Project {Week 5} | Food

Posted on February 11, 2011

If you’ve missed what’s been going on around here on Fridays, I’ve been doing a 52 week project along with several other fabulous ladies from The Bloom Forum.  You can read the original post here.  We all will post our interpretation of the weekly theme.  Follow the links through the blogs until you end up back here.  And don’t forget to leave some blog love along the way :) .

This week our theme is Food.  This theme is not a hard one but, as usual, I made it difficult!  I’ve taken food photos before but I wanted something different.  So I struggled because I couldn’t decide what I wanted to do.  What I really regretted was not taking my camera when I went to the carnival at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo!  Fried Oreos, fried bacon, sausage on a stick wrapped with tornado potatoes, cotton candy, fried butter (just kidding)!  The fried uniqueness abounds! ;)  Oh, and as I’m typing this I’m watching a show about Chicken Charlie.  He made fried zucchini weenies!  Imagine that.  Anyway, yesterday my dear friend Becky (who remains blog-less) came to visit.  She brought some of her beautiful, fresh eggs!  I love fresh eggs.  And yes, I have photographed them before, but I just couldn’t help myself.  Their color is so beautiful.  Don’t you just want to decorate your kitchen with these colors?

Now travel along to see Jobrina Hofleit – Arizona Family Photographer and her interpretation of Food.  Her work is so beautiful you won’t want to miss it!  Don’t forget to follow all the blog links all the way around the circle.  When you’re done come join the fun over at The Bloom Forum!  You’ll be glad you did! :)

The 24th Day of December

I saw this video this morning and just had to share it.  I love the innocence of the story as told through the Children.  May Christmas fill your home with joy, your heart with love, and your life with laughter!  Have a very blessed and very Merry Christmas!

The 21st Day of December

Posted on December 21, 2010

Today the kids finally got to do their gingerbread house, one of their favorite traditions.  They especially like to eat the candy as they decorate.  Since Dad was home, and he’d never done it before, he helped out.  We had one house so they each decorated one side and then added other touches.  Can you guess which side is Caden’s and which is Brody’s? ;)
