Project 52 | Independence | Week 26

And  I’m back for 52 on Fridays.  This week our theme is Independence.  I originally intended my post to relate to Independence Day.  But after going on vacation with the kids, I realized how fiercely independence they are becoming.  This is such a bittersweet thing for me.  We raise our kids to be independent but when they start becoming independent, it is a little sad.  I sat and watched my kids play cards together, play with life long friends (and tell secrets to each other), and shoot a rifle for the first time (first for my 5yo).  It was really an eye opening week for me.  The days are long but the years are short.

Project 52 | Week 17 | Favorite Things

Wow, I took a longer break than I anticipated!  But I’m back with my 52 on Fridays project.  I was really hoping to do every week, but last week was just so busy I couldn’t possibly add one more thing.  This week our theme is Favorite Things.  Of course I couldn’t do just one ;)  I had to post several of my favorite things.

My most favorite is spending quality alone time with my oldest and playing Legos with my youngest.

I love the view from my backyard and I love enjoying a glass of wine on the deck.

And I love that my kids have found a sport that they both love and that we all do together!  It’s so much fun and hard work too!  And I especially love that we all do it as a family :)

Team Up Thursday|Upside Down|San Antonio Child Photographer

Today’s theme for Team Up is Upside Down! I immediately knew what I wanted.  I love when Brody hangs from the bar on the play set.  Mostly because I love the way his hair looks ;) Stephanie chose to capture how a reflective image in a water droplet is turned upside down!  Very cool huh?
